Hello, I'm Rika
The hands and heart behind the lens. I’m a mom and a photographer, and both roles are deeply connected.
My journey into photography began with the birth of my daughter. She inspired me to pause, observe, and cherish the little things and the beauty in everyday moments. That spark of inspiration grew into a passion for capturing the real, raw, and joyful parts of life.
I love capturing nature, smiles, love, laughter, and all the beautiful, real moments that make life so special. Whether it’s a glowing sunset, a child’s belly laugh, or a family wrapped up in a hug, these are the beautiful pieces of life I never want to forget, and I want the same for you.
As the time goes by,
That’s why I started this little business of mine to freeze those fleeting, joyful moments for other families too. Because time moves fast, and photos are the way we hold on to what matters most.
This journey is not mine alone. My family has been my biggest cheerleader, and you might even see them at your shoot, helping out (my daughter is an expert at getting shy kids to smile 😂). This isn’t just my business, it’s our family adventure, and we’re so grateful to be part of your special moments.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support.
Let’s create some beautiful memories together.
Cheers,
Rika
My approach
At Snaps of Us, my approach is simple: I want you to feel comfortable, present, and completely yourself. I believe the most beautiful photos come from real moments, gentle laughs, quiet glances, and the in-between details that often go unnoticed.
I work with natural light and guide you in a way that feels relaxed and easy, no stiff poses, just gentle direction when needed to help you feel at ease. Whether it’s a family session, couple shoot, or special milestone, I focus on creating a calm, enjoyable space where genuine connection can shine.
Photography, to me, isn’t about perfection, it’s about emotion, presence, and preserving the feeling of a moment. My goal is that when you look back at your photos, you don’t just see what you looked like, you remember how it felt.
Let’s create something that feels like you.
